Job Description: Albany International Corp. in Rochester, NH seeks a Product Manager for Publication Grades to support the Americas Sales and Service Team on the application of dryer fabrics on customer's paper machines. This job requires the collection and analysis of paper machine data at the customer's paper mills. Product recommendations are then provided to the customer to generate paper machine solutions. This includes detailed technical presentations to customers and tracking the performance of target products throughout the industry including the Americas, Europe and Asia. Interaction with Sales and Service Personnel, Customer Service, Design and Applications Engineers and Manufacturing are required on a daily basis. Weekly visits to customer paper mills, as well as periodic visits to regional sales meetings and manufacturing facilities are also necessary. Domestic and International travel required up to 75% of the time, including travel to Canada 2-4 weeks per year, Asia 1-2 weeks per year and Mexico 1 week per year.
Experience/Education/Skills: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field (or a foreign equivalent) PLUS five (5) years of experience working with dryer fabrics and associated manufacturing processes. Experience must include performing dryer section audits; pocket humidity surveys; machine hood balance; machine trouble shooting; resultant optimization; product installation; paper machine crew training and new paper machine startup. Five (5) years of experience must include at least two (2) years of experience focused specifically on the Asian paper market. Additionally, the following technical skills are required: SAP, Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes. Domestic and International travel required up to 75% of the time, including travel to Canada 2-4 weeks per year, Asia 1-2 weeks per year and Mexico 1 week per year.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
