Position Summary:
The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the HR Department to ensure the highest quality for all HR processes and procedures. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to employee relations, performance management, recruitment, new employee on-boarding, employee benefits, and compensation.
Effectively recruit quality personnel
Database management of time off and time clock entries
Process Payroll
Conduct new hire orientation and prepare all paperwork in advance
Filing Maintenance
Verifies I-9 documentation and completes the E-Verify process via the internet.
Scheduling of events including but not limited to holiday parties and office lunches
Required Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite including, Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to learn new technology systems
Familiarity of HRIS systems, preferably Paylocity
Excellent written and verbal communication
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as a collaborative team member
Demonstrated, mediation/facilitation and conflict resolution skills
Direct experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters; maturity, discretion and confidentiality is essential
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent/sound judgment
2+ years experience in Human Resources or equivalent college degree
Must be flexible and willing to perform duties outside of above responsibilities a must
PHR certification preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
